Angela Maiorano

Angela Maiorano is an experienced Attorney Nurse Consultant who works in the field of medical malpractice and birth injuries. Angela’s experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery and High-Risk OB, as well as her experience in the legal field, give her the background and experience she needs to understand, investigate, and pursue these types of cases.

After earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Maryland, Angela worked for many years as a registered nurse at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and then transitioned into the area of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has experience in prenatal care, high-risk obstetrics, labor, delivery, and postpartum. She has also worked with newborn babies in the full-term nursery as well as the neonatal intensive care unit. In addition to her hospital experience, she has worked for the Maryland Board of Nursing investigating nursing malpractice and the Maryland Office of the Attorney General as a nurse investigator for Medicare and Medicaid fraud.

While working as a registered nurse, Angela earned her JD from the University of Baltimore. She combined her medical and legal knowledge and began working in the area of medical malpractice as an Attorney Nurse Consultant dealing primarily in the area of medical malpractice, with a particular specialty in birth injuries.

Angela is drawn to the area of medical malpractice and birth injury because she believes that every person should be able to go to their health care provider and trust that they are providing them with the best care possible. When someone has relied on the expertise and opinion of their provider and is injured as a result, then that person should be compensated for the damages that were caused by that practitioner’s negligence and or carelessness.
